Meetings

The Mattakeesett Garden Club of Pembroke meets on the third Tuesday of each month from September through June, unless otherwise noted on the program page.

The regular monthly meetings are held at the Pembroke Public Library, 144 Center St., Pembroke, Massachusetts when there is a lecture and the Pembroke Community Center next door for workshops.  Meetings begin promptly at 6:00 pm with programs beginning at 6:30 pm due to the lack of a library custodian. and go to 8:00 pm. Evenings begin with a business meeting, followed by the scheduled program, and concluding with a social with coffee and dessert.  The club does not meet in July and August but does schedule garden events open to all members.

The Club is an active participant in the Marshfield Fair Horticultural exhibits and welcomes all members to participate in this South Shore tradition.

The monthly Board meetings are held on the Tuesday prior to the regular meeting.  Board meetings begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and are held at the home of a Board member.

Dues

The annual club dues are $35 per member.

This includes a subscription to The Mayflower, the quarterly newsletter for the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc. The Mayflower is sent electronically to all members.

Dues are payable for current members in June for the following year’s membership. 

New members can join at any time.

We do encourage visitors to our club meetings. If the meeting is a workshop, the MGC asks visitors to contact us prior to the meeting, and there may be a charge for materials.
